Return to Cadiz

IMG_0633I gave a talk about American Founding Son in Cadiz, OH last night.  This was Bingham’s home for most of his life, and I was happy to see many familiar faces of folks there who helped me with my research.  The surprise was that they brought out a chair that Bingham owned (his name was carved on the bottom) and I was invited to sit in “Bingham’s Chair” while I signed books.  Plus, Bingham’s statute in town was recently restored from its weathered green color to a proper bronze.  Here is a shot of him that I took this morning.

Congratulations. I am at the beginning of his Congressional career now and really enjoying your book. You should post a picture of you sitting in Bingham’s chair!
