List of Law Student Blogs

Clever WoT, a law student blogger at Michigan Law School, has compiled a list of law student blogs, organized by law school. Law schools with the most student blogs include Georgetown, Michigan, Harvard, and Lewis & Clark. Clever WoT counts 215 law student bloggers from 48 schools.

I don’t understand, however, why Balkinization is listed as a law student blog. Last time I checked, Jack Balkin was a professor . . .

You’re right about Balkinization… I’ll pull it off the list today. More than likely I got it from someone’s blogroll that had it stuck under the wrong category.

This is one of the beauties of an online directory: easy corrections. Balkinization will be my first removal, but I’ve already added almost 50 blogs since the directory was first posted on Sunday. It’s been a pretty good response, and I’ve been encouraged by the number of people submitting their own blogs for inclusion.

Thanks for the link, by the way. A list like this is useless unless people can find it.

Thanks for the link. It’s good to read what’s on students’ minds.

Now what we need are student and faculty blogs that talk about the same class. I’d like to read how the perspectives differ–could be like a law school version of Rashomon.

I am formulating an appellate brief to the 9th Cir. appealling the denial of a motion for new trial by the federal DC of Alaska. I am simulating a pro se litigant. Are there sample briefs available – free?

I came across your blog today and I wanted to request that you link my legal blog to your website. My blog is called The Legal Scoop, and it can be found at

I just started the website 3 or 4 days ago and we are aggresively beginning to market the site and to spread the word. I would be very grateful if you could add us to your website.

By the way, I am a student at the Nashville School of Law.
